What is the HOME Advice Program?
The Household Organisational Management Expenses (HOME) Advice Program provides an early intervention response to families at risk of becoming homeless through helping to stabilise their housing, economic, social and community circumstances. Community service agencies and Centrelink work in a collaborative partnership to assist families by resolving tenancy issues, providing counselling or referral services for budgeting and financial issues, family counselling, parenting skills, labour market programs and employment and training opportunities. There are eight HOME Advice services located around Australia, one in each State/Territory:
